For Schools
With over 20 years’ experience as a qualified languages teacher (PGCE and QTS), I have worked across primary and secondary, state, mainstream, special and independent schools, including over five years specialising in EAL support.
Working 1:1 and with small groups, I provide personalised EAL assessment, teaching, targeted interventions and practical guidance to help children settle quickly and confidently into school life in England. By working closely with teachers, teaching assistants and school leaders, I ensure pupils receive well-coordinated support both in and beyond the classroom.
This approach helps EAL pupils develop confidence, strengthen their English language skills, gain independence and access the curriculum with success. With a proven track record of accelerating EAL pupils’ progress, I enable EAL learners to thrive academically alongside their peers while working with school staff on strategies to continue supporting pupils effectively. In-school support is available in Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Staffordshire, Shropshire or the surrounding areas with online support offered globally.
“Susie’s work in developing the pupils’ English language skills was particularly impressive. Through targeted, thoughtful support, she enabled clear and measurable progress, helping pupils to access the curriculum more fully and participate with increasing independence. The children settled into school quickly and happily, developing a strong sense of belonging and confidence in the classroom.”
